OPEN CALL FOR ACTORS: Rorschach’s 26/27 Season

Rorschach’s 2026/2027 season will include two full productions, performing in October/November 2026 and March/April 2027. There will also be a variety of opportunities throughout the season for readings and small projects – including Klecksography in August 2026.

Additionally, with the actor’s permission, we will share application materials with other DC-area theatres who are looking for similar talent. 

Click the link below to share your resume/headshot and audition video. Actors should:

  • prepare a 60-90 second contemporary monologue
  • give a brief (30 second) answer to a question asked in the form
  • (Optional) Prepare a 30-60 second song, if you would like to be considered for a singing role. We are not producing a musical this season but often our plays include music and would like to be able to assess musical ability
  • (Optional) Prepare a 30-60 second clip playing an instrument. We are not producing a musical this season but often our plays include music and would like to be able to assess musical ability.

DEADLINES: We will accept submissions on a rolling basis.

Please submit by August 3 for consideration in Klecksography and for best consideration for our fall show. Auditions submitted after this date will be considered for shows and projects later in the year.

Updating a previous open-call audition

If you submitted an audition for a Rorschach open call within the last few years, you can still submit an audition now as an opportunity to update your files. If you only want to update your information and headshot, you can choose to forego recording a video and we will refer to your most recent audition video.
