“Fantastical Ambition”
–Washington Post
A circle in the snow. The smell of sulphur. The beating of wings.
A woman confronts the dragon who was once her lover.
A boy discovers what it means to love the dragon girl who upends his world.
Rorschach returns to perform at The Stacks in Buzzard Point for this intimate epic about who we become, what we leave behind, and what we set on fire.
“Be prepared for a different kind of experience. The always innovative Rorschach company has transformed an unfinished retail space in Buzzard into a magical theatrical lair. It’s evocative, mysterious, and we are waiting for dragons.” — DC Theater Arts
“As the lore comes into focus and revelations soar with satisfaction, “Dragon Play” mediates on the experiences — the growing pains, the loves, the sacrifices — that shape us. No dragons are slain, but demons are certainly exorcised.” –Washington Post
A fire pit will be waiting on the corso after the show. Bring something you’re ready to release—a memory, a name, a story that no longer serves you. Offer it to the flames and watch it transform. Some endings deserve a little ceremony.
