VOX POPULI – KLECKSOGRAPHY 2025

This annual project commissions artists to create plays over 10 days and focuses on providing creative challenges, visibility, and networking opportunities to emerging artists. The performances will take place at the historic Corcoran Flagg Building in partnership with George Washington University. The name “Klecksography” comes from a game played by Hermann Rorschach as a child that involved making shapes out of ink on a blank page. Inspired by this game he would go on to develop his famous psychological test, the Rorschach Inkblot Test.

The Luthor W. Brady Gallery will be open before the shows and features the exhibit “Unruly Discourse: A communal excavation” – A collaborative exhibition between the GW Collection and For Freedoms aiming to ignite a dialogue around the diverse, personal, and political understanding of civic participation and its role in our lives today through works found in the GW Collection.
